Not only is July National Ice Cream month, July 15th is National Ice Cream Day! To celebrate this special day, we have a ONE DAY promotion: you can get one scoop and your second scoop free - applicable to any of our flavours at our Ambleside store. It's the perfect place to get your ice cream before hitting up the beach this sunny weekend! While we're on the topic of ice cream, allow us to feed your curiosity and tell you a little more about our newly introduce ice cream bar at our West Vancouver location. 
 
Our ice cream is all fresh, locally made with natural ingredients. There are no preservatives or artificial colours used.  Ice cream bases all contain cream, milk, sugar, and egg yolks; Fruit sorbets are purely fruit and sugars. Our ice-cream counter has 7 signature Meinhardt flavours and 5 rotating seasonal selections. Our team got together to come up with all these flavours by ourselves and partnered up with the one and only talented Eleanor Chow of Cadeaux Bakery to bring the flavours to life! The following flavours are available at our Ambleside location this summer:

Seasonal Flavours

These seasonal flavours are created to match the mood of the year. For this summer, we've come up with 5 unique flavours to match the sunny weather. These flavours will rotate every season - expect to see some pumpkin spice goodness this upcoming fall! The use of floral notes like lavender and rose are meant to match your summer attire with floral prints while holding your iced cold vanilla latte (see what we did there?) in your hand strolling through the beach. 

Fleur de Sel Hazelnut Ice Cream

Salted praline anglaise base with chopped caramelized hazelnut bits mixed in

Lavender Apricot Ice Cream 

French lavender infused anglaise base with apricot puree swirled in

Lemon Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream

Lemon zest infused anglaise base with chopped bits of cheesecake and swirls of strawberry compote

Vanilla Latte Ice Cream

Vanilla ice cream base with a hint of coffee (from instant dissolving crystals for good flavour and smooth texture

Sesame Rose Ice Cream

Anglaise with ground toasted white sesame seeds and rosewater

Caramelized Pecan Ice Cream

Ice cream base with chopped bits of caramelized pecans

Caramelized Pineapple Frozen Yoghurt

Frozen Greek yoghurt with vanilla bean caramelized pineapple bits mixed in

Chocolate Ice Cream

Chocolate ice cream base using dark Callebaut Belgian chocolate

Coconut Sorbet (Vegan)

Deliciously refreshing and made with fresh coconut

Mango Sorbet (Vegan)

Tart, sweet, and rich made with mango puree

Raspberry Sorbet (Vegan)

Made real raspberry puree and carries a creamy texture verging on ice cream

Strawberry Ice Cream

Ice cream base with fresh/frozen whole strawberries – strawberries cooked out with sugar, the strawberry syrup added to ice cream anglaise base and whole strawberry chunked swirled in after churning Our waffle cones are made from scratch in-house. And if you decide to get your ice cream in a cup, it's served with this wicked box that keeps the ice cream cold for a longer period of time. You don't have to worry about your ice cream melting too fast with this box!
 
We also have other ice cream specialties like ice cream floats, affogatos, and ice cream samplers for those looking for more choices.
