West Vancouver Community Day
is happening this Saturday, June 2nd, 2018. Here are 5 reasons why you wouldn’t want to miss out on this special day filled with activities.

1. It’s guaranteed to be loads of fun

Every year, the District of West Vancouver puts together a fun-filled day of festivities for the West Vancouver community. From 11am – 4pm, there will be stand up paddleboard rides for those feeling a little adventurous; a classic car show for those who want to reminisce the good ol’ times; and even a dance stage along with a music stage for those who just want to sit back, relax, and enjoy some delicious bites from their favourite food truck vendors! And that’s not all, there will be a kid’s zone with inflatable fun AND a pop-up adventure playground. Did we mention that there will be a trampoline as well?

2. Food by the beach is as good as it gets

If you’ve been to the Ambleside Beach before, you would know that this is probably one of the most scenic spots of Vancouver. And if you haven’t – you’re due for a visit! At Ambleside Beach, you can enjoy spectacular views of Stanley Park and downtown Vancouver.

On June 2nd from 11:30am – 6pm, there will be a Beach Lounge event hosted by West Vancouver Firefighters Charitable Society with food from White Spot – Park Royal

3. Visit from two-time Olympic gold medalist

You heard right! Two-time Olympic gold medalist – Rosie MacLennan will be making a guest appearance at Ambleside Park this Saturday. Rosie is a Canadian trampoline gymnast. She is not only the 2013 World Trampoline champion, 2012 and 2016 Olympic champion, but also the 2011 and 2015 Pan American Games champion!

4 The parade will be awesome

Each year, adults and children from the North Shore get together to enjoy the march along Marine Drive. Music, dancers, and a wide variety of floats entertaining the crowds under a perfectly sunny sky.

The Community Day Parade starts at 10am at 13th and Marine Drive. The route continues along Marine Drive 17th, then it turns south on 17th to Bellevue Avenue and east on Bellevue. The parade finishes up at the entrance to Ambleside Park, where all the festivities will be! Does it get any better than that?

5 Oh yes, it does – we’ll be there!

We’re sure some of you have heard about Meinhardt’s 3rd location opening in West Vancouver this summer. Although we haven’t open yet, we’d like to introduce ourselves to each and every one of you in the West Vancouver community

Our Meinhardt team will be providing our very own Meinhardt water, Pure Maple Water, for participants of the Ambleside Mile and WestVanRun. We’ll also be handing out plant-based Laiki Rice Crackers from Lloyd James and sweet treats from Terra Foods at our booth inside the Ambleside Park from 11am – 4pm. Come get your goodies and say hi to us, we can't wait to meet you this Saturday!
